Please join us and be one of the first to utilize our new Zoo Connections Curriculums! Each ZCC is interdisciplinary and is aligned with the Mississippi State Standards.During this interactive workshop you will learn how to effectively use the ZCC before, during, and after your visit to the Jackson Zoo. You will also encounter education animals and learn how they can help you bring your classroom to life!

Cost: $15 plus and optional $5 for .5 CEUs through Mississippi College.

Participants will need to bring a sack lunch.

Critter & Crawlers (ongoing series)

10:00 - 10:45 am

This is a program for toddlers and their parents/grandparents/nanny.  They would come to the zoo for a 45 minute class on a different theme each time.  Our first series of three will be the three different classes of animals (mammals, reptiles, birds).  Activities will be designed specifically for this age group and will include some that are inside and some that are outside.  Of course they will get to meet an education animal up close and personal each time!

Family Safari Slumber

7:00 pm - 9:00 am (the following day)

Have you ever wondered what goes on outside after you are tucked into bed? Families may explore the zoo at night and discover why some animals prefer the night, and what tools they use to survive until dawn.

The Jackson Zoo comes alive at night! Come see the zoo as you have never seen              it before. The night will include an animal presentation, games and activities, a look behind the scenes with a keeper and a camp fire! Wake up the next morning to a continental breakfast and a guided walk around as the keepers "wake up" the zoo.

Cost:

Members: Each participant will be $25

Non-members: Each participant will be $30

Baby Chimp "Mojo" Turns 3!
